The Ever-Fresh pillow is the main selling point of the Prince Lionheart brand of baby wipe warmers. All three of their warmers — the Ultimate warmer, the Premium warmer and the Warmies cloth wipes warmer — rely on the Ever-Fresh pad to provide moisture and prevent wipes from browning.
This removable, washable pad sits at the bottom of the wipes warmer, providing a protective barrier between the heat source and your baby wipes. As long as the Ever-Fresh pillow stays moist, your diaper wipes will not dry out and brown.
Care and maintenance
Since the entire wipes chamber is waterproofed, don’t be afraid to really soak the Ever-Fresh pillow until it’s sopping wet. Every once in a while, press down on the pad to see if it’s still moist and add water as needed. Make sure you press down on the middle of the pad, since that’s where the majority of the heat is concentrated.
If you let your Ever-Fresh pillow dry out, it will brown from all the chemicals and lotions in your wipes, plus any minerals in your water. (This can cause the bottom half-dozen or so wipes to turn brown as well.) However, the brown spots on the pad should wash out fairly easily once you fully saturate the pad and get water into all of those “micropores.”
Prince Lionheart recommends that you wash and re-moisten the pad once every two weeks, but most parents recommend wetting it once a week. You can even throw it in with your laundry (hot or warm water, no bleach). If you live in a drier climate, you’ll probably need to wet the pillow more frequently.
The Ever-Fresh pillow is treated with an EPA-approved additive that inhibits the growth of microorganisms that may cause spoilage, odors and mildew. If you have easy access to distilled water, you can also prevent the build-up of mineral deposits and scale.
Prince Lionheart recommends that you replace the Ever-Fresh pillow every three months to keep your wipes moist and fresh. However, some parents say they have used one pad for far longer than three months with no obvious problems.

Does anyone else have the issue of black or gray spots (what looks like mildew growth) on brand new- out of the package pads? I’ve seen this on 4 out of the 5 pads I’ve purchased. 1 is understandable, now its just getting expensive and wasteful.
I recieved a wipe warmer for my baby shower. Now it is hard to find the replacement pillow pads in stores. why do they sell the wipe warmer and not the replacement pads???
